From the Pres
The 2016 season is just about here and to me it looks like the AA Team is ready to go. We just completed our training camp in Stramboat. I want to thank all of you who attended and hope everyone had a great time. What a great week. Great weather, great instruction and great fun. I was bouncing around from group to group and all of you, quoting "Billy Kid" look like you are ready to ski and ride in the Olympics! We came out of the week with a couple of injuries. Doug Pinion hurt is rotator cuff and Bjorn Vandug cracked a few bones in his hand. Bjorn will be ready for Taos but Doug could be out for awhile.
On the injury note, our past AA club president John Mertes had some emergency surgery a couple of weeks ago. He came through like a champ but will be layed up for awhile as recouperates from his surgery. The team would like to wish a "Get Well Soon" to both John and Doug.
Our first event of the year is Taos, New Mexico.  Taos will be a great week and i encourage you to attend the week if you can. All the info you need is either on www.aaskisnowboard.com or www.naasf.com. Gulcin Gilbert is our AA team coordinator/room mom and has a wonderful week planned for us.
I would like to Thank Jim Tullos and Rachel Reuter for coordinating the Steamboat Training Camp week. Great week and Great job Jim and Rachel.
I am excited for Taos and am looking forward to seeing all of you the second week of January in New Mexico.
Happy Holidays
KJ
