Previous Year's Updates 2007/2008

These are the updates from last year for those of you who would like to see how things went back then.

Int'l Meet - Germany

IASF has created a web site just for this year's International Meet in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. There is a link below and one on the Ski Week page for Garmisch Partenkirchen.

http://www.WASC2008.COM/

The acronym WASC stands for World Airline Ski Championship. If you are lucky enough to be able to attend you will see this acronym on all the signs and welcome boards. More so than the acronym of the group which plans the meet,  IASF (International Airline Ski Federation.)

Aspen Roommates

This just in from NAASF:

To all NAASF members:

If you are attending Aspen but need a place to stay, or you have extra space in your condo, please post to the Member Forum.  Log in to NAASF.COM and click on Member Forum.  There you will see the Ski Week Roommates Category with a "child" board specifically for Aspen.

Thanks!  See you in Aspen.

Late February Newsletter/Hotsheet

The Newsletter and Hotsheet for Garmisch-Partenkirchen have been posted to the Download Section.

Fun Project

So you're home alone watching the last drops of the melted powder dry on your skis or snowboard.

Here's a fun project that will pick up your spirits. Go to an office supply store and get some sheets of address labels for your printer. Print the following on them:

Aspen, Colorado, Last Chance This Year

Monday March 31st to Thursday April 3rd, 2008

Then put them on all the leftover postcards in the pocket of your drag-bag and on all the Ski Team Posters you see at work.

Do it for the team! Do it 'cause it's fun!

February Newsletter

The February Newsletter is available for download in the Downloads Section of the site.

An email was sent to everyone advising them to download the Newsletter. If you did not receive this email, use the form below on the right and let the webmaster know your email address.

International Meet Information from Louise

I will be assigning roommates and rooms in Garmisch soon.  Please let me know if you have a roommate preference. We have double, triple, and even single rooms available.  I may also have some room for late comers, but this is your last chance to sign up.  After that you will be on the cancellation, standby list.

Book January Rooms By Dec. 15th

January probably seems far away, but Snowbird will not guarantee rooms at the Cliff Lodge after December 15th.  So call today to reserve your room (1-800-453-3000).  You can cancel up to 10 days out without penalty.  The room rates are the same as last year-$129 per night, plus tax.

See the NAASF Snowbird Flyer for all the details.

You can find more information about the ski week (January 13-18) at www.naasf.com under latest news.

NAASF Site Adds Photos & Message Board

The Web Site at NAASF is changing on a daily basis. Sarah Abbett is doing a superb job. Check out the ability to upload photos. On the right side of the NAASF home page under USER MENU is a PHOTO GALLERY link. You need to join, which only takes a day. Also she has just added some Message Board Forums for finding roommates and selling equipment. Great Stuff.

Let's get some AA Team photos uploaded! Go Go Go!
