March Note

Well, I heard you all had a great time in Snowbird!  Sorry, I missed that meet, but I will not miss the last one, at Crested Butte, or lovingly known as Crusty!  I rest assured that room 'mom' Jim, will let you know what we are in for, especially, since this meet will be running into the final weekend of skiing, there!  Be sure to let Jim and your Team Captain know that you are coming, so that we can get an accurate count for all the activities, and get you seeded for your races.  If you check out the NAASF web site, you will see that we are currently in third place for Team points.  But, we are only trailing by 50 points!!  I want all of you to come out and play, race, and help keep our cup!  It is still, very doable!!  Keep those applications coming in the mail.  It's not too late to join the TeAAm!  On a final note, there will be a trip down to Valle Nevado, Chile in August.  Please drop me an email, call, or ask me about what fun it is to ski in the middle of our summer!

Ski you soon,

Jen

January Recap

Steamboat Meet:

The snow was very, very nice for our first meet of the season in Sunny Steamboat Springs!  We had a good turnout of folks participate in the races, parties, and general playing in the snow.  I know that I had a hard time recognizing some of the folks dressed up for the Wednesday night party. I am sure there are a few pictures floating around for those of you that missed that party.  Don’t miss the next one, at Snowbird!  Its going to be MASQUERADE!  Be sure to email or call your room mom, soon, and let us know you are coming.  On another note, be sure to keep those applications coming in.  We need to keep our numbers up in order to defend our CUP!

I hope you are out there enjoying the snow!

Race Camp Summary

Hello Everyone!

I would call this year’s racecamp another success.  Many of us learned a few new tricks to add to our repertoire.  It was fun(ny) seeing so many older people in the terrain park!!  Yes, there might even be a few pictures floating around

I received a Colorado Powder Alert in my email, today.  It said that Steamboat received 20 inches of snow in the past 24 hours!!  With more on the way!  I am looking forward to seeing all of you next month for our first race of the season.  Hopefully, there will be some Champagne Powder for all of us!!   Please, be sure to let your Race Captain and the Room Mom know that you will be joining us.

Hope to see ya’ll soon!

Jen

Pre Season Wecome

Hello fellow skiers and snowboarders!

Are you as ready for the upcoming season as I am?  I have already received a few phone calls and text messages about the snow flying in Colorado.  We can all hope for a great season, like last year!  My first duties as your new Vise President are to help find new members and take in your dues!  Its time to renew your membership so, you can join us on one of our great trips.  The first meet of the year is our Race Camp at Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  The folks at Steamboat always treat us really well.  The staff at Steamboat is geared up to help beginners, intermediates, and of course, the hard core racers.  Plus, it’s a great way to start the season by hanging out with old friends and making new ones!   On another note, I have come to the conclusion that six months is too long to wait to go snowboarding!  I do intend on breaking up that wait by going to South America, next August.  Feel free to talk to me more about our past trips to Chile.  Think lots of snow and keep up those squats and lunges!

Your Vice President,

Jennifer Naylor
