This years training camp is shaping up to be a very fine event as usual. I know there is a lot going on in December but I hope everyone will make a dedicated effort to be at Steamboat. We have great discounts and parties lined up. So get out the boards and sticks and lets have another fantastic training camp. Enclosed are the immediate details for the 2007 Steamboat. SKI AND SNOWBOARD RENTALS:
Steamboat Ski resort will offer the AA Ski Team a 50% discount on all daily rental rates at the following stores in Gondola square:
Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel Club Rentals
Steamboat Ski Rentals
Ride Sports (Snowboards)
OTHER DISCOUNTS:
Chaps will offer a 10 % discount on all food items on Thurs, Dec 6th, for the awards party.
TRANSPORTATION:
Most AA/AE’ers will fly to DEN and rent a car. See Jetnet: Employee Programs for the latest Discount codes for Car Rental companies. Driving time is three hours with no stops. Take I-70 West to Silverthorne, CO-9 North to Kremling, US-40 West to Steamboat, and the Mt. Werner exit to the resort/hotel.
Major Airlines (including AA) do not begin service to HDN (Hayden, CO, the Steamboat Airport) until the next week after training camp. United Express currently is flying DEN/HDN 4 times per day. Delta commuter has service from SLC, but transportation to Steamboat and/or rental cars at HDN are often expensive. Vail is also an option. AA flies one flight a day from Dallas. It’s usually open, only 1 1/2 hr drive. Rentals cars are a bit more expensive, but it's a pretty ride.
